BLOG: July 2020
This past spring, I upgraded my photography gear, which I am very excited about. It's lighter in weight, and I have expanded my lens collection. This includes the addition of an ultra-wide angle zoom, and an 800mm telephoto, both of which will allow me to capture images that have eluded me in the past. I plan to photograph more wildlife, and in particular, birds. I will be posting new work as I become proficient with my recent acquisitions.
I am also buying a new van! I've had a Ford Transit Connect, which is a nice mini-van, but ultimately, is too small to live in on a constant basis. I'm getting a 2015 Ford Transit, with a medium height roof, and the regular wheelbase. It comfortably fits into a standard parking space, which is important when parking at trailheads. With a six-foot high ceiling, I will be able to stand inside the van, albeit with an inch or two to spare.
I'm finishing up my van conversion plans, and I plan to start the build soon! The photo was taken by Penske Used Trucks, whom I am buying my rig from. I will be creating a YouTube channel, so people can follow along with the build, and eventually, my travels. Stay tuned!
